    RiverDogs Look To Bounce Back After Largest Defeat Of The Season

    The Charleston RiverDogs look to bounce back from an 11-0 loss to the Augusta GreenJackets in the final game of their four game series at Joe Riley Park on Monday. Freicer Perez (3-3, 3.22 ERA) takes the mound for the Dogs while Stephen Woods Jr. (4-6, 3.17 ERA) takes the ball for the Jackets.

    The RiverDogs are still a game-and-a-half up on the Asheville Tourists and Lexington Legends in the second half Southern Division race. The RiverDogs are at 7-3 while the Tourists stand at 6-5 along with the Legends.

    Perez has been a standout for the RiverDogs. Over the past three games, he’s pitched 19 innings allowing just nine hits and striking out 17.

    The RiverDogs have sold out tonight. Since they will be on the road for the Fourth of July, Charleston is celebrating the holiday tonight with a huge fireworks display after the game. The game was moved up to a 6:35 p.m. start to accommodate the fireworks show.
