The Yankees drafted right-handed pitcher Glenn Otto in the fifth round of the 2017 draft.  Otto was the 152nd overall pick out of Rice. Prior to the draft he was ranked by MLBPipeline.com as the 96th best prospect in the draft, but fell to the Yankees at 152 due to injury concerns.

Over his college career at Rice he owns an 18-6 record with a 2.62 ERA over 82 games, 4 starts, striking out 222 batters over 172 innings.  He currently tied for fourth in Rice’s all-time saves leaders with 17 saves.
