New York Yankees Vice President of Domestic Amateur Scouting, Damon Oppenheimer, Selected Ron Marinaccio with the 572nd overall selection in 19th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
The New Jersey native was nothing short of dominant in 2017. Marinaccio pitched to a 4-3 record and a team-leading 2.09 earned run average.
In 22 apperances, the right-hander recorded three saves and started eight games across 64.2 innings. Marinaccio held opponents to a measly .195 batting average against, struck out 68 and walked 22.
