Tampa Tarpons (Single-A Advanced): The Tarpons (37-49) had their game against the Dunedin Blue Jays postponed due to rain. They will makeup the game on Wednesday as part of a doubleheader.

Charleston Riverdogs (Single-A): The Riverdogs (46-43) defeated the Rome Braves, 9-6.

  • Eric Wagaman: 3-for-4, 2 runs scored, 1 double, 1 home run (3), 2 RBIs (12,13). Wagaman had his first 3-hit game of the season. 
  • Canaan Smith: 2-for-4, 1 run scored, 1 double, 3 RBIs (39,40,41). Smith has had multiple hits in 3 straight games and in 4 of the last 5. 
  • Oswald Peraza: 2-for-4, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 1 RBI (1). Peraza made his Charleston debut after being promoted from Short-Season Staten Island on Tuesday. 
  • Brandon Lockridge: 2-for-3, 2 runs scored, 1 walk, 1 double, 1 stolen base, 1 RBI (41). Lockridge has 5 RBIs in the last 4 games. 
  • Welfrin Mateo:  1-for-3, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 1 double, 1 stolen base, 1 RBI (6).
  • Oliver Dunn: 1-for-4, 1 run scored, 1 RBI (1). The 11th Round pick in this year’s draft was promoted from Rookie-Advanced Pulaski on Tuesday. 
  • Josh Stowers: 0-for-3, 1 run scored, 2 walks.
  • Harold Cortijo: 5.1 IP, 1 R (0 ER), 5 H, 1 BB, 4 K. 62 of 93 pitches were strikes. Cortijo has a 1.62 ERA after six starts with Charleston. 
  • Charlie Ruegger (1-0): 2.2 IP, 5 ER, 5 H, 3 BB, 4 K. 30 of 51 pitches were strikes. 
  • Jefry Valdez (2nd save): 1 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 BB, 3 K. 11 of 21 pitches were strikes. 

Staten Island Yankees (Short-Season): The Yankees (12-11) lost to the Connecticut Tigers, 5-4.

  • Ezequiel Duran: 2-for-5, 2 runs scored, 2 home runs (2,3), 3 RBIs (9,10,11). Duran is the 24th player in Staten Island Yankees home run to hit 2 home runs in a game. 
  • Matt Pita: 2-for-4, 1 run scored, 1 home run (1), 1 RBI (1). Pita made his Staten Island debut on Tuesday. 
  • Luis Santos: 1-for-2, 1 walk, 1 run scored, 2 walks.
  • Jake Sanford: 1-for-4.
  • Evan Alexander: 1-for-4, 1 double.
  • Andres Chaparro: 1-for-5.
  • Jorge Saez: 1-for-5.
  • Alex Junior: 1-for-4.
  • Abismael Villaman (1-1): 3 IP, 5 R (3 ER), 8 H, 4 K. 50 of 68 pitches were strikes. 
  • Keegan Curtis: 3.2 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 6 K. 30 of 43 pitches were strikes. The 6 K’s are a new professional high for Curtis and the 22nd Round pick in last year’s draft has a 0.90 ERA in 5 outings this year. 
  • Barrett Loseke: 2.1 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 3 K. 23 of 32 pitches were strikes. The 17th Round pick in last year’s draft has a 1.08 ERA in 5 outings. 

Gulf Coast League (Rookie): The GCL East squad (3-7) had their game against the GCL Tigers West suspended with the score 0-0 in the top of the 3rd. The game will be made up on July 17th. Meanwhile, the West (3-8) lost 7-3 to GCL Phillies East.

Dominican Summer League (Rookie): The DSL Yankees (14-15) defeated the DSL Orioles2, 4-2.

  • Kelvin Espino: 2-for-3, 2 runs scored, 1 walk, 1 double, 1 triple, 1 RBI (9).
  • Maikol Escotto: 2-for-4, 1 stolen base. Escotto is on a 6-game hit streak and is hitting .357 in 23 games this year. 
  • Agustin Ramirez: 1-for-4, 1 run scored. Ramirez is on a 5-game hit streak. 
  • Alex Garcia: 1-for-3, 1 walk, 2 stolen bases. Garcia is on a 4-game hit streak. 
  • Yojieldriz Diaz: 3 IP, 1 ER, 4 H, 2 K.
  • Felix Alonzo (1-0): 4 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 2 K.
  • Albert Carrizo (1st save): 2 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 1 K.

On Tuesday, Ben Badler of Baseball America tweeted the Dominican Summer League All-Stars. Infielder Maikol Escotto, catcher Jesus Rodriguez, and pitchers Jose Chambuco and Luis Velasquez were named to the American League team:
