Advertising Sales Representative

Primary Function:

The Advertising Sales Representative will be responsible for selling advertising on PinstripedProspects.com and its sister sites.  They are responsible for setting and reaching goals regarding advertising sales for the year, helping RMP Sports Media, LLC achieve profitability.

This is a 100%-commission based job.

They will report to the Director of Business Development and Managing Partner.

Job Tasks:

  • Locate and contact potential clients to offer their firm’s advertising services
  • Explain to clients how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible
  • Provide clients with estimates of the costs of advertising products or services
  • Process all correspondence and paperwork related to accounts
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to new and existing clients
  • Inform clients of available options for advertising art, formats, or features and provide samples of previous work for other clients
  • Deliver advertising or illustration proofs to clients for approval
  • Prepare promotional plans, sales literature, media kits, and sales contracts
  • Recommend appropriate sizes and formats for advertising

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate via telephone and email.
  • Presentable and confident in face-to-face meetings.
  • General higher education or sales-training and qualifications.
  • Able to build rapport quickly over phone or face to face.
  • Strong networking skills.
  • Able to build rapport quickly over phone or face to face.
  • Motivated self-starter.
  • Strong attention to detail required.
  • Must have a professional attitude and demeanor.
  • Work well individually and able to take direction from staff
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Basic word processing skills necessary.
  • A basic familiarity with PinstripedProspects.com and our advertising offerings.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Experience:

Experience with cold-calling, cold-emails, and face-to-face meetings is required.

Organizational Relationships:

Supervised by Managing Partner and Director of Business Development

Compensation:

This is a commission-only sales position.  You will earn anywhere between 10-25% in commissions based on the number of sales.
