7 Non-40 Man Players Who Could Make Their MLB Debuts in 2018

Cody Carroll (Martin Griff)

Carroll’s stock has drastically risen after a strong couple seasons in the Yankees organization. Selected in the 22nd round out of Southern Mississippi, Cody has pitched to a career 2.73 ERA across four levels in the minor leagues.

Last season, the Mt. Juliet, Tennessee native spent the majority of the season in Trenton and held opponents to a .212 batting average against.

His success has earned him a Non-Roster Invite to Major League Spring Training in 2018. Look for him to capitalize with a productive spring and earn a promotion to pitch out of the pen’ in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to open the season.

If all goes well, it wouldn’t be a shock to see Carroll don pinstripes for the first time in 2018.
