7 Non-40 Man Players Who Could Make Their MLB Debuts in 2018

Tarpley is a player that the Yankees are incredibly fortunate they didn’t lose in the Rule V Draft this December in Orlando. Personally, I was shocked that New York didn’t protect him and add him to the 40-man roster this winter.

After going 6-0 in 14 appenrences with a perfect 0.00 ERA with the Tampa Yankees (Class A Advanced), Tarpley was promoted to Trenton (Double-A). With the Thunder, the southpaw went 1-0 in four games with a 3.48 ERA.

The Los Angeles, California native, will begin the season back in Trenton with the chance to quickly move up the ladder if he continues attaining the success that he did last year. The former Baltimore Orioles 3rd round pick has an outside shot at cracking the 40-man roster and making a big league appearance if 2018 goes well.
