Chance Adams, RHP
Adams has the highest likelihood of the group to make his Major League debut this season. In fact, he has been invited as a Non-Roster Invitee to big league camp this spring.
The former 5th round selection out of Dallas Baptist has impressed since signing in 2015. The Scottsdale, Arizona native has pitched to a minor league career 31-7 record, with a 2.33 ERA and held hitters to a .182 batting average against him.
Look for Chance to be a dark horse candidate to compete for the fifth starters spot in Tampa this spring, however; he will most likely begin the season back in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (Triple-A). If he keeps posting the numbers he has in the past – GM Brian Cashman will not have much of a choice, he’ll have to call Adams up to the show.
